GUARDS was established in the year 2002 with the voluntary efforts and co-operation of philanthropists and social workers. The society was registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with Registration No.309/2002 and started effective functioning by undertaking various activities to benefit the poor amongst poor of the rural villages and urban slums of Chittoor district.

In the past 15 years GUARDS has grown into a well-armed civil society organisation collaborating with Government and Foreign agencies to plan, participate and perform with socio-developmental programs.
